First-launch tips per platform
Unzip the download, then run TaskPulse.exe. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time — click "More info" → "Run anyway".
Unzip, drag TaskPulse.app to /Applications. First launch: right-click the app → Open to bypass Gatekeeper, or run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine TaskPulse.app.
Easiest — .tar.gz: extract anywhere, then run ./taskpulse from the extracted folder. No system packages needed.
.AppImage: chmod +x TaskPulse-*.AppImage and double-click. If you see error loading libfuse.so.2 on Ubuntu/Debian 22.04+, either install FUSE 2 (sudo apt install libfuse2) or run with --appimage-extract-and-run.
.deb: install with sudo dpkg -i TaskPulse-*.deb, then launch from your app menu.
Around 90 MB on disk. Sits in the system tray when you don't need it.
